Spanish 1 Week 13

Monday  – Introduce telling time as well as the new telling time vocabulary and numbers through 59. Cover uses of tener with class schedule along with the class/subject vocabulary.

Tuesday – Students will work independently creating their daily school schedule, writing out which class they have and at what time they have it. Quick review over telling time quiz.

Wednesday – Telling time quiz. Oral practice with students asking and responding to one another about their daily schedule for practice for upcoming pronunciation test. List remaining numbers from 60-100.

Thursday – Quizizz activity over telling time, conjugations of tener, and classroom schedule vocabulary. We will begin oral pronunciation practice test

Friday – Oral pronunciation test continuation.  If time allows, we will begin discussing use of “tener que.”

Spanish 1 Week 12

Monday – Continuation of dialogs with “ser” and adjectives from last week. Review quiz words from list two…gordo – viejo

Tuesday – Practice test for Thursday’s test.

Wednesday – Review struggle areas from practice test. We will also practice for oral listening portion of test.

Thursday – Test over Subject pronouns, conjugations of ser, and noun adjective agreement. Test will cover grammar structures, as well as vocabulary.

Friday – Test corrections if necessary. If corrections are not necessary, we will begin reviewing numbers 0-100 followed by telling time.

Spanish 1 Week 11

Monday – Review handouts from Friday. Students will read the correct answers out loud for review of both pronunciation as well as grammar comprehension. Complete Quizizz if time remains.

Tuesday – Review Quizizz from Friday and Monday. Introduce basic descriptive adjectives used with “ser.” We will combine the use of these adjectives with already learned nouns as well as subject pronouns and ser.

Wednesday – Quizizz activity practicing use of descriptive adjectives learned yesterday combine with the subject and verb. If time allows, we will do an online practice activity for tomorrow’s vocab quiz.

Thursday – Vocab quiz over descriptive adjectives. Students will get into groups of three and create a short dialog describe one another.

Friday – Presentation of dialogs from yesterday.

Spanish 1 Week 10

Monday – No School

Tuesday – Introduction of the eight articles. Students will also learn about the use of gender for all nouns in Spanish.

Wednesday – Review the use of articles for students who were out with band competition yesterday. Handout practicing use of articles.

Thursday – We will go over answers to handout from yesterday. If time allows, we will do a basic intro to noun adjective agreement.

Friday – I will be out this day. There will be an online assignment posted that will review the use of articles with nouns. There will be some questions regarding noun adjectove agreement as well.

Spanish 1 Week 9

Monday – Quizizz Activity – Nine Weeks Practice test.

Tuesday – Nine Weeks Practice Test part 2. We will review common weak areas to make sure students are prepared for tomorrow’s test.

Wednesday – Nine Weeks Exam

Thursday – Test Corrections from Nine Weeks Exam – we will also use this as test make up. If time allows, we will begin with oral pronunciation grade.

Friday – Students will ask and respond to questions using information found on Nine Weeks Test . This will count as a pronunciation grade.

Spanish 1 Week 8

Monday – Continuation of uses of gustar with other pronouns (you,[formal] he,(him) she(her) we, (us) you[pl](y’all) they(them). Review food vocab words for quiz on Wednesday.

Tuesday – We will go over rubric for likes/dislikes project. Quizizz activity using gustar with all pronouns.

Wednesday – Food words vocabulary quiz. Gustar with pronouns quiz review. Likes/dislikes project.

Thursday – Gustar with pronouns quiz. Likes/dislikes project

Friday – Likes/dislikes project. Remind student s these are due MONDAY by 8:00 AM. If anyone turns in today there will be bonus points added. If any students finish early, they can begin doing the subject pronoun review activity.

Spanish 1 Week 7

Monday – Presentation of Talking about activities Vocabulario. Introduce I like/I don’t like to be used with new vocabulary. We will also review “Do you like…?

Tuesday – Gimkit practicing new vocabulary from yesterday. We will add food vocab to be used with discussions abpout foods that are liked and not liked. We will expand the I like/I don’t like to include plural items as well.

Wednesday – Quiz over vocab (talking about activities.) Quizizz activity practing use og gustar with all new vocab,

Thursday – Gimkit on remaining vocab to practice before quiz.  We will take a quiz over food vocabulary.

Friday – No School

Monday – Sub Work – Online Practice test Part 2

Tuesday – We will spend time reviewing problem areas from Practice test Part 1 and Part 2.

Wednesday – Early release…students that meet will be reviewed on additional areas of weaknesses from reviews in preparation for tomorrow’s test.

Thursday – SIX WEEKS TEST

Friday – Corrections to SSIX WEEKS TEST…those who were absent yesterday wil take make up test today.

Spanish 1 Week 5

Monday – Introduce weather related words and phrases. Students will learn how to ask about and describe weather conditions. Remind students about numbers quiz for tomorrow (1-31)

Tuesday – Quiz over numbers 1-31. En la clase vocab: – We will review commonly used phrases/commands in the classroom, such as listen…raise your hand, be quiet, please, thank you, Can I go tot he restroom, etc. Remind students about days and months quiz for tomorrow.

Wednesday – Quiz over days and months. Quizizz over weather related vocab and classroom vocab. Remind students about quiz FRIDAY over weather related vocab.

Thursday – Review quizizz from yesterday with focus on weak areas. After finishing, students will do a gimkit as review for the quiz tomorrow.

Friday – Short oral practice review for quiz. Quiz over weather related vocab. If time allows after quiz, students will begin working on TEST review. There will be a test next Thurssday September 21.

Spanish 1 Week 4

Monday – Labor Day

Tuesday – I am from…he is from…she is from activity. All students will be a Spanish speaking country. They will introduce themselves and tell where they are from. If time allows, we will add birthdays. Give students list of numbers 1-31 to begin learning for Thursday’s quiz.

Wednesday – We will begin with a review of the numbers 1-15, then we will add up to number 31. We will also add dates, including months and days of the week. Students will spend time saying important dates in Spanish, such as July 4. Students will take a quiz over writing dates with numbers 1-31 tomorrow.

Thursday – Quizlet live activity to review numbers followed by a quiz over writing out dates. Students will have access to days and months so they will not have to have these memorized yet.

Friday – “en la clase” vocab…this will focus on commands and in class questions.
