Spanish 1 Week 20

Monday – No classes

Tuesday – Review Quizizz from last Friday. Once finished, we will continue with uses of estar combined with vocab (feelings/emotions)

Wednesday – Quiz over conjugations of estar. Introduce common vocab used with estar (adjectives of feelings/emotions)

Thursday – Quizlet live practice newly learned vocabulary. After quizlet live, we will take a quiz over vocab words used on quizlet live.

Friday Quizizz Test Review for next weeks Test over ser, tener, estar, and all regular present tense -ar verbs verbs.

Spanish 1 Week 19

Monday – No classes

Tuesday – Review Semester Exams/Cumulative Exam struggle areas. Focus on areas that are important for moving forward.

Wednesday – Review subject pronoun charts as well as conjugations of ser with adjectives and tener items possessed.

Thursday – Quiz over conjugations of ser and tener. Review  regular -ar verb conjugations and meanings of the first 15 we learned,

Friday Quiz over regular -ar verbs. Introduce estar.

Spanish 1 Week 17

Monday – Final review day for Cumulative Test – we will cover conjugations of tener along with possession vocabulary, regular- are verb conjugations along with the first 15 verb meanings we learned. We will finish with common vocab words students are expected to remember.

Tuesday – Quizizz practice test

Wednesday – Cumulative Exam

Thursday – We will dopronunciation portion of exam. Corrections will be assigned as homework to students with low exam scores if necessary. We will begin final exam review using weak/struggle areas from Cumulative Exam.

Friday – Complete Final Exam Review

Spanish 1 Week 16

Monday – Review for tomorrow’s mini -test. Focus will be on vocabulary, but students will be expected to understand grammar(conjugations) as well.

Tuesday – Mini Test on regular -ar verbs. There will be both grammar and vocabulary on the test. If time allows, we will become cumulative exam review.

Wednesday – Cumulative Exam review part 1. Rules for pronunciation, numbers 1-30, and basic greetings and introductions.

Thursday – Quiz over Greetings/Introductions and numbers 1-30. Continue review with likes/dislikes with related vocab (food words and activities,) weather expressions.

Friday – Quiz over likes and dislikes. Continue review with uses of ser with noun/adjective/article agreement. If time allows, we will discuss how the oral pronunciation portion of the test will work.

Spanish 1 Week 15

Monday  – Review test from before break.

Tuesday – Introduction of regular -ar verb conjugations. Focus will be on the 15 most commmon -ar verbs that we will use

Wednesday – Online activity practicing conjugations of regular -ar verbs using the 15 verbs learned yesterday.

Thursday –Quiz over verb meanings and conjugations.

Friday – Begin review for Mid Term Cumulative Exam. Initial focus will be on basic conversational skills.

Spanish 1 Week 14

Monday  – Review conjugations of tener and common items possessed as well as other words and phrases used with tener.

Tuesday – Practice Test via Quizizz. Test will cover telling time, classroom schedule vocabulary, conjugations of tener, and common “tener” vocabulary.

Wednesday – Any students who KNOW they will be out tomorrow will take the test today in CIS room. All other students will begin an oral practice test which students should use as a study guide to prepare for tomorrow’s test.

Thursday – Test over telling time, classroom schedule vocabulary, conjugations of tener, and common “tener” vocabulary.

Friday – College and Career Fair Day

Spanish 1 Week 13

Monday  – Introduce telling time as well as the new telling time vocabulary and numbers through 59. Cover uses of tener with class schedule along with the class/subject vocabulary.

Tuesday – Students will work independently creating their daily school schedule, writing out which class they have and at what time they have it. Quick review over telling time quiz.

Wednesday – Telling time quiz. Oral practice with students asking and responding to one another about their daily schedule for practice for upcoming pronunciation test. List remaining numbers from 60-100.

Thursday – Quizizz activity over telling time, conjugations of tener, and classroom schedule vocabulary. We will begin oral pronunciation practice test

Friday – Oral pronunciation test continuation.  If time allows, we will begin discussing use of “tener que.”

Spanish 1 Week 12

Monday – Continuation of dialogs with “ser” and adjectives from last week. Review quiz words from list two…gordo – viejo

Tuesday – Practice test for Thursday’s test.

Wednesday – Review struggle areas from practice test. We will also practice for oral listening portion of test.

Thursday – Test over Subject pronouns, conjugations of ser, and noun adjective agreement. Test will cover grammar structures, as well as vocabulary.

Friday – Test corrections if necessary. If corrections are not necessary, we will begin reviewing numbers 0-100 followed by telling time.

Spanish 1 Week 11

Monday – Review handouts from Friday. Students will read the correct answers out loud for review of both pronunciation as well as grammar comprehension. Complete Quizizz if time remains.

Tuesday – Review Quizizz from Friday and Monday. Introduce basic descriptive adjectives used with “ser.” We will combine the use of these adjectives with already learned nouns as well as subject pronouns and ser.

Wednesday – Quizizz activity practicing use of descriptive adjectives learned yesterday combine with the subject and verb. If time allows, we will do an online practice activity for tomorrow’s vocab quiz.

Thursday – Vocab quiz over descriptive adjectives. Students will get into groups of three and create a short dialog describe one another.

Friday – Presentation of dialogs from yesterday.
